• Du übernimmst die Verantwortung für einen sicheren, effizienten und gut organisierten Laborbetrieb und sorgst dafür, dass unser Bereich Research & Technology unter optimalen Bedingungen arbeiten kann.
• Du führst das LabOps-Team, das aktuell aus vier Teammitgliedern besteht, setzt klare Prioritäten und stellst den Betrieb durch vorausschauende Kapazitätsplanung sicher.
• Du verantwortest zwei sehr gut etablierte Kernbereiche: Spülküche und Medienküche – beide laufen bereits stabil, effizient und zuverlässig. Du führst diese starken Strukturen weiter, entwickelst sie behutsam und sorgst für gleichbleibend hohe Qualität.
• Du stellst die reibungslose Laborlogistik sicher – von Chemikalien über Medien bis zu Verbrauchsmaterialien – und beachtest dabei alle relevanten Sicherheits- und Qualitätsstandards, insbesondere unsere ISO 9001:2015-Zertifizierung.
• Du koordinierst die Beschaffung und Nutzung von Laborgeräten und arbeitest hierzu eng mit unseren Supply & Facility Services zusammen.
• Du harmonisierst Laborprozesse, etablierst Standards und treibst die Digitalisierung von Abläufen und Dokumentation aktiv voran.
• Du führst und koordinierst bereichsübergreifende Abstimmungen mit den Abteilungsleitern unseres Labors und sorgst für Klarheit, Struktur und gute Kommunikation.
• Bei Krankheitsengpässen oder kurzfristigen Ausfällen springst Du auch mal selbst hands-on im Labor ein und unterstützt Dein Team aktiv.

• Einen naturwissenschaftlich-technischen Hintergrund (z. B. BTA, MTA, CTA, Labortechniker, Studium der Biologie o. ä.)
• Mehrjährige Erfahrung in Labororganisation / Laborleitung / Laborbetrieb und idealerweise Operational Excellence – ergänzt durch Geräte- oder Prozessmanagement und erste Führungserfahrung.
• Stärke im Strukturieren, Priorisieren und im Zusammenspiel verschiedener Fachabteilungen.
• Technikaffinität und Freude an zunehmender Digitalisierung von Prozessen.
• Kommunikations- und Moderationskompetenz sowie ein serviceorientiertes, lösungsorientiertes Mindset.
• Verantwortungsbewusstsein, Zuverlässigkeit und den Anspruch, sichere und effiziente Laborstandards auf hohem Niveau zu halten.
• Sehr gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
• Freude daran, sehr gut funktionierende Abläufe zu übernehmen, professionell fortzuführen und punktuell weiterzuentwickeln.
• Eine pragmatische, hands-on geprägte Arbeitsweise.

We are looking for you to join our LabOps team as soon as possible.

• You will take responsibility for a safe, efficient, and well-organized laboratory operation, ensuring that our Research & Technology department can work under optimal conditions.
• You will lead the LabOps team, currently consisting of four team members, set clear priorities, and ensure smooth operations through proactive capacity planning.
• You will oversee two well-established core areas: the lab scullery and the media kitchen — both already operating efficiently and reliably. You will continue to guide these strong structures, further develop them carefully, and maintain consistently high quality.
• You will ensure seamless lab logistics — from chemicals to media to consumables — while complying with all relevant safety and quality standards, especially our ISO 9001:2015 certification.
• You will coordinate the procurement and use of laboratory equipment and collaborate closely with our Supply & Facility Services.
• You will harmonize laboratory processes, establish standards, and actively drive the digitalization of workflows and documentation.
• You will lead and coordinate cross-functional alignment with the heads of our laboratory departments, ensuring clarity, structure, and effective communication.
• In case of staff shortages or unexpected absences, you will occasionally step in hands-on to support your team directly in the lab.

• A scientific or technical background (e.g., BTA, MTA, CTA, laboratory technician, degree in biology or similar).
• Several years of experience in lab organization, lab management or lab operations, ideally including operational excellence — supplemented by equipment or process management and initial leadership experience.
• Strengths in structuring, prioritizing, and collaborating across different departments.
• Affinity for technology and enthusiasm for increasing process digitalization.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills, along with a service- and solution-oriented mindset.
• A high sense of responsibility, reliability, and the ambition to maintain safe and efficient lab standards at a high level.
• Excellent German and English skills, both written and spoken.
• Enjoyment in taking over well-functioning processes, maintaining them professionally, and developing them further where needed.
• Pragmatic and hands-on approach.
