• Du unterstützt die biotechnologische Prozessentwicklung (Upstream Processing) durch die Vorbereitung, Durchführung und Dokumentation von Kultivierungsprozessen.
• Du planst und führst Zellkulturarbeiten im Schüttelkolben sowie in Benchtop- (5 L) und Pilot-Scale-Bioreaktoren (50–500 L) durch – inklusive Vorbereitung, Bedienung, Reinigung und Dekontamination.
• Du arbeitest steril mit gentechnisch veränderten Organismen (S1/S2) und unterstützt bei der Generierung, Expansion und Kryokonservierung von Zellbänken.
• Du entnimmst und dokumentierst Proben und führst In-Prozessanalysen durch, um Bioreaktorprozesse zu überwachen und gezielt zu optimieren.
• Du wirkst bei der genetischen und biochemischen Charakterisierung von Zellkulturen mit (z. B. PCR, DNA-/Proteinanalysen, ELISA, BCA-Assay).
• Du bereitest Versuche organisatorisch vor – von Medienbestellung und Medienansatz bis zur Bereitstellung des Arbeitsmaterials.

• Eine erfolgreich abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung als BTA/BioTA, Biologielaborant (m/w/d) oder eine vergleichbare Qualifikation (z.B. Bachelor Biotechnologie).
• Interesse an Zellkultur, Bioprocessing und Upstream Processing (USP); Erfahrung im sterilen Arbeiten (S1/S2) ist von Vorteil.
• Technisches Verständnis und Freude an der Arbeit mit Bioreaktoren und Laborgeräten.
• Wir freuen uns, wenn Du Grundkenntnisse in molekularbiologischen oder analytischen Methoden (z. B. PCR, DNA-/Proteinanalytik) mitbringst.
• Gute Anwenderkenntnisse in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Eine sorgfältige, strukturierte und aufmerksame Arbeitsweise – auch bei parallelen Versuchsansätzen.
• Flexibilität, Teamgeist sowie ein ausgeprägtes Qualitäts- und Sicherheitsbewusstsein.

Eleva is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Freiburg, Germany, discovering and developing previously inaccessible biologics using a breakthrough moss-based technology platform. Our team of around 60 people fosters an open, appreciative corporate culture and is working to bring new therapeutic options to patients around the world. We are currently seeking a Technical Assistant to join our Upstream Processing team.

• You will support biotechnological process development (upstream processing) by preparing, conducting, and documenting cultivation processes.
• You will plan and perform cell culture experiments in shake flasks as well as in benchtop (5 L) and pilot-scale bioreactors (50–500 L), including preparation, operation, cleaning, and decontamination.
• You will work aseptically with genetically modified organisms (S1/S2) and support the generation, expansion, and cryopreservation of cell banks.
• You will take and document samples and perform in-process analyses to monitor and optimize bioreactor processes.
• You will contribute to the genetic and biochemical characterization of cell cultures (e.g., PCR, DNA/protein analysis, ELISA, BCA assay).
• You will be responsible for preparing experiments, including media preparation as well as ordering and providing all required materials and consumables.
• You will work closely with related departments such as QC, DSP, and Cell Banking, and support quality documentation, material logistics, and equipment commissioning.

• Completed vocational training as a BTA/BioTA, biological laboratory technician (m/f/d), or a comparable qualification (e.g., Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology).
• Interest in cell culture, bioprocessing, and upstream processing (USP); experience in working under aseptic conditions (S1/S2) is an advantage.
• Technical understanding and a keen interest in working with bioreactors and laboratory equipment.
• Basic knowledge of molecular biology and analytical methods (e.g., PCR, DNA/protein analysis) is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Structured, detail-oriented working style with the ability to manage parallel experiments.
• Flexibility, team spirit, and a strong awareness of quality and safety.

• Very good German and good English skills are required for daily work.
